I'm waiting until there's an engineered RWD V8 one on the block for $1200.

So the rarest model made and not sold in Oz yet there is more of them for sale here in Oz then Fuego's of any model still excisting in the UK.
According to TopGear, there's only 3 surviving Fuegos in the UK.

Sanath should hang on to all of his as they'll be worth more than an A110 in about 30 years. We'll see them in Targa Tasmania soon!!

I'm afraid I don't share your enthusiasm for such a rabid rate of inflation over the next 30 years :-). Thing is, a Fuego Turbo is a niche version of a niche model of a niche marque in Australia. If a Renault 17TS, directly related to a winner of a World Championship Rally round winning car, struggles to make circa $1.5K, I doubt if a Fuego Turbo would fare much better, especially anything a non runner or requiring compliance. Perhaps they will make excellent donor cars for a Lotus Europa transplant, the tougher bottom end components alone would have to be worth it for a hi-po hop-up, then the gearbox gets thrown in for free.

Hmm, the thought of an early-adopter turbo setup in a front drive car doesn't enthuse me either. The thought of competitively slicing through a wet Cethana sounds like a dog-on-wet-lino to me :-). Then again, being a 1980's, sub 2-litre, FWD turbo, would give a really good chance of collecting a class winner gong!
