A French Car Club that I am a member of has a photographic competition each year and the top 12 photos are used on a calendar. 2011 I managed January. 2012 June. This year I didn't take one I should have I guess. Perhaps the same could be done. They take a poll on all the photos submitted. Although the French Club prints it, it doesn't have to be printed just put up as a file to down load.

My version of word has a Calendar whizard, which allows one to easily create calender and personalize with your own photos, ready for printing on your own printer. Cost is the cost of paper and ink. If someone creates one it can easily be distributed via e-mail and printed at home for next to no cost.

    R8 lovers. Unusual photos.-new-rotor-lovely-2-sml.jpg

This is unusual in that I've never seen new rotors on the R8 because this was the first replacement after 47 years.

Not a patch on the main bearing tunnel photo of course, so I'll have to get the camera out and think much more laterally!

    Good idea Phil.

Perhaps an R8 photo competition at the Muster in Junee? Attendance compulsory of course.

Hey John, that is a top idea. Now I'm really into it. Can't wait for Junee, I'll see you right for those rear tail lights definately over a couple of cold ones.

    Cheers

Trick of the lens I hope but wow that tunnel looks warped.

Sorry Phil had to be of an R15/17. Wrong club for an R8 photo. But I could pinch the idea and substitute an R17 and submit with your name. Not sure if the comp is still open.

Love the idea of a comp at Junee.

Lucky it didn't roll actually. Falcon ute bull bar on Saturday. It drives dead straight happily, at least after replacing half shaft, disc rotor, calliper bracket and wheel bearing on that side and both rear wheels.....

The good news is that it will have new paint for Junee!! Rouge Trinidad, the original red it came in.

But not really a classic R8 photo. Unusual perhaps.

No trick, no warping. Just the big ends of the conrods hanging at different angles.

Moving on, here's my only attempt at an "arty" shot of the beloved R8. Not a patch on the photo that started the thread for imagination though.

Quite agree. All R8s should have Konis. Are those 80-1974 size?

Hey is that helper spring thing under the gearbox a standard R8 item or is it a bit of bush engineering..?
Every day when I wake up I reach up in the darkness with my eyes shut and if I cannot feel anything that resembles a wooden lid I know it will be a good day. No lid today.
