Default Upgrading my 306 ! Need advice

Hi all, firstly this is not about what car to get ! I currently have a 1999 306 XT 5 door, and I want to upgrade to a gti6 .

Now at the moment, my car has a few issues that would affect the sale:
    1. Needs a service, it is currently at just under 117000km's , it needs the 110,000km service, and I guess the 120,000 service which I read is a big one (cambelt etc).

    2. The clear coat is peeling on the roof, it is just around the roof aerial, probably total size is about 1/2 an A4 page.

    3. When the air con is on, it sounds like a fan rattling which speeds up depending on the speed of the air con.

    4. It has dents in the roof from the hail storm a few years ago, not huge dents just small ones, but quite a lot of them.

    I think that's everything.

What I'm wondering is if I should get some or all of these items fixed before I try and sell it, or just go for a lower price and sell it with this stuff needing to be done.

Probably need more info like Km and general condition, rego etc, but.....

    Sel it as is.

    Cam belt major service....$1000+
    Clear and dent removal $1000

Thats $2k spent on a car that might get $3k, or as is you might get $1500.

Agreed, let the new owner spend the money. Sell it for a lower price.

Big dollars spent preparing a low value car for sale is usually money wasted.

You can get an idea of likely sell price from ebay.

If want a quick sale be prepared to come down in price. Better to sell a bit lower than have an old friend in the drive imo.
