    Default Airbag light on

The 306 our family just acquired has the airbag light permanently on.
I have read that there's an orange wire under the seat that you need to fool about with after disconnecting the battery for ten minutes.
    Any advances on this theory?

Not quite sure what you mean there mister Rambo, [crinkled like paint or like scrunched up?] but I have to report success. First disconnect the battery for more than ten minutes Then we took the driver's seat out and disconnected the two connectors, orange and white. Gave the terminals a rough up with needle files, reconnect and fit seat.
Battery back , start and voila, out goes the light.
I'm very pleased with this car. So far everything we've played with has been fixed which is a very good feeling.

It's always a great feeling to have nothing but success on a project!

For anyone else reading this, our 306 Hatch had this problem intermittently and, yes, fiddling around with the wire loom under the PASSENGER seat fixed it.

There was one wire which wasn't connected to anything, though it had a crimp connector on the end - and didn't look like it could go anywhere in the connector block - but after I moved things around a bit, presto: next time I started up, the light came on and then went out and all was well. (And I probably saved quite a few bucks in service centre 'donations' to boot.)
