77,000 kms from new, great leather interior, Bosh injection.

Not running at moment just waiting for me to have time to get her back on the road.

It will clean up nicely. looks like a great car.

The 604 is an indangered species so look after her well...

More pictures please when you've cleaned and polished.

Whats happening with the 505 next to the 604 ?

    Default Memory trip

Now that brings back a lot of mostly good memories. These were a beautiful car to look at and drove very well. Brakes were extremely good as well. This will be very nice when it has been cleaned up. Enjoy. Geoff.

I dream of finding a perfect DS23ie BVH that's been parked in a shed like this. Maybe due to a dead engine (or something mechanical...... As *anything* mechanical is an easy fix on a DS ).

What a beautiful looking car, even with it coat of dust. I remember seeing one of these in Brisbane when my 505 was having an engine rebuild at Peugeot Care,(I think it was them, or it might have been Peugeot land). Fell in love with it straight away.

You have a piece of history there.

    Cheers

A delightful looking car - makes me jealous! One question - is the front left tyre fitted properly? It looks like an uni-directional tyre fitted backwards, or swapped to the opposite side. The left rear looks ok.

Lol yes very observant! I fitted that wheel in the dark as a replacement for the original 604 rim which had a flat tyre when I had to move her. As convenience was the driving factor at the time I wasn't concerned about the tyre direction.

It was only the other day when I swapped the other three wheels over I noticed that the direction is wrong on this one and hence the other side too. Have made a note to swap them around before driving when she is on the road.

Nothing escapes the AF communal eye!

each to their own but somehow i think you are trying to have a joke

i honestly can't think of a colour that would look worse on a 604 than black

even the moonstone brown which was about as bad as you could get would be better than black

i have seen pics of black 604's and it just doesn't suit them at all

    compare it to this

Wow ! The balck 604 in the picture is a Diplomatic car for Germany ! Well, GDR [ German Democratic Republic which was east Germany before the re unification ]. Looking at the suspension and window's it looks like its armour protected.

The picture looks like it was taken in the early 80's. Its a real find !

Did you know that the front lights on the 604 are identical to the VW Scirocco mk2 but the 604 had them first.

I suppose now I'll have to toddle off to the VW people and see what they cost, since I have two 604s but only one set of lights...

    Wazzashortcut,

Would you have a pair of 604 rear springs you could spare? I'm sort of planning a little outback trip and might want to raise the rear suspension a little.

    Thanks,
    John.

604 rears won't lift you car very much if at all John

if you want a pair of them let me know as i probably have quite a few laying about but be warned, 604's do suffer SAS just like the 504/505
