Default 205 gti Group N engine mounts

BakerBM cost $224 for the set.

Anyone know where I can get a set cheaper?

If you dont mind me asking. Why are you wanting upgrade them to a harder mount?

They are very very stiff and cause lots of vibration through the cain of the car. Not something that you want in a road car. I believe they dont help the engine and chassis put the power to the ground either.

If they are worn or broken, I would suggest the standard mounts or something not so race orientated.

    I know they cause vibs...

I know they're not really practical for road use...

If I cared about driving a comfortable, smooth car, I wouldn't have bought a 205.

I think I'll go with standard except the torq bush. Will get uprated one.

I love it on forums how everyone steers away from the actual question of the post.

That's the money for a set of mounts. They use to be $300+ when the dollar was down. Just ask for a less expensive shipping option, or organise your own.

Great for gravel motorsport, cut out the crashing and banging as the engine jumps around, don't know about bitumen motorsport and definitely not for road use.

    definitely not for road use.
Yeah I'm just starting to work that out! I can't believe the bloody vibrations and rattles I've got in the interior trim! I doubt the lightened crank and flywheel help either. The worst is the map light.

I have 3x group N in my road car driving 2 hours a day over a year. If you know what you are getting yourself into then go hard or go home. Pretty sure I paid more for them once upon a time. Have fun

Well if you also read my actual question as to why you wanted them I could have helped even more. BBm are going to be your cheapest option. If you want a further 10% discount on them join the 205gtidrivers forum and order them through there. But you also didnt want to know that...

I also love it how people try to help in this forum and sometimes deviate from the original question. It can be annoying. What a shit place it would be if everyone just answered questions and did not care what you were doing. Or what plans you had for your car. We are an interested bunch of people who are interested in what your possibly doing as you own the same car as everyone answering you question. EG, you spend your money on the bushes to find that you hate them and have to buy more to fix the problem in the first place. We are not a bunch of robots. I have one for sale that has done a few hours of driving before removal if your interested. Im not sure what you mean by the Torq Bust ( Maybe Torque? ) but I believe your talking about the bottom engine mount?

I actually have a spare Group N mount left over (unused). Pretty sure it is still in the garage. I can have a look if you are still after one.
