    Default Spotted a 4008

    Has anyone else seen one?

Saw this at my local dealer parts place - cunningly disguised from the side as a Mitsubishi ASX.

The other attachment is here: Third pic

For some reason the server won't let me attach it or link to it again.

Great Scoop Shot ! Has to be one of the first and it looks much better than in the artists impressions that we have seen. Looks good in white.

Its a shame that its an ASX under the badging.

We'll have to wait for the reviews...

Scheduled for release on 9 June here. Petrol engine only. There have already been some reviews which I felt were "lukewarm" about the car.

No shame in my book....recently sold our 0'10 3008 to get some money back and bought a 6 month old 2wd ASX. Very pleased indeed. Very tight, fuel efficient and rides a lot less harsh than the Pug. Much better value for money too!

Interesting to hear. Did you buy a petrol or a diesel ASX? A friend of mine has a diesel 4WD one which he is very happy with.

Bought a 2WD petrol CVT because diesel is only available in 4WD (which costs more and I would never use) or manual and wife can't drive a manual and I'm too old to work when I drive - Knees knakkered! Base model with some pack (forget what they call it) that means bluetooth and rear park sensors. Hates Shell petrol but very fond of WW/Caltex, and uses average mainly town driving of around 9l/100. I'm surprised it's so good to be honest. Only thing that could be improved is the radio.

A somewhat more convincing styling effort that the Outlander based Pug.

Atleast they changed pretty much everything (other than the doors and roof).

They even changed the look of the glass house in profile by adding a Hofmeister kink to the rear quarter glass.

Different front layout and bonnet lines etc.

It seems to make the whole car look bigger and more solid than the ASX (although the big wheels might be a contributing factor also)

I also like that the rear number plate is relocated under the tailgate as the smooth hatch and simpler lines make the rear much less fussy than the ASX.

I wonder if the interior is similarly different?

On a side note, why do small SUV's all need to have massive 'truck sized' mirrors on them...

Not too sure. I had a quick peek through the windows and I noticed a Peugeot-looking steering wheel (the one with all the ridiculous buttons on it), though I suspect it's just a restyled Mitsubishi one.

Having never seen an ASX interior I can't say whether it's any different.

I have a friend with an ASX. Might have to try to get some comparison photos of the interiors.

Spotted another one today - in silver - on the back of a truck on the M4 on Monday afternoon. I suspect it was heading back to HQ, but I'm not sure.

Hi-I was speaking to one of the more senior guys at Peugeot last week & he stated that they were 'very happy with the product'.The Peugeot has a 2" wider track[at least on the front].

    Pekay.
