Well, that is a nice car.

There is a problem with it though. You'd never wring its neck seeing how they're so thin on the ground their price is soon going to be calculated in rocking horse manure.

I for one know for sure I would thrash it like nobody's business if I bought it.

that was the one I offered on. Came on the market in June 2011 for ten grand, I emailed them only to find it had just sold to a collector in HK. I asked them to pass on an offer of 11k - a tidy 10% profit in 2 days, but no go, buyer wasn't selling full stop.
Just a few weeks ago it suddenly appeared on the market again, and so I enquired, quizzing them on the tasty mark up of 30%. Still I was prepared to pay, after all, this is 100% the one I've been looking for for a decade. Alas, I need to sell my Mercedes SL first and by the time I decided to just punt and get it, it was sold again (bit surprised to see it still on eBay). Now I have money tied up in some property purchases so even if it came back on I'm stuffed. Will always be the one that got away....

Doesnt need to be, sell the merc to your local merc dealer. You will get wholesale but that should be heaps plus some. This might be your last chance.
