The le mans 206 gti 180 has a simular stripe down the middle. Ive seen one on the road, it definately stands out, and looks very sporty.

Excellent choice, gezza. Mine's on 89k and still going strong.

yeah get the sticker kit! It'll give you an extra 10hp at the wheels!! So then you might be able to beat a 2.2L camry at the lights!

Not bothered about it being fast, otherwise I would of kept my Impreza sti coupe or skyline r33 gtr v spec.

Just want pose and modern and this fits it

    Yeah will order decals later

Yeah they're good little cars. When I drove one I was impressed at how much more grown up and solid it felt compared to the 206 GTi 180, even if it didn't feel as quick or nimble.

Congrats on the purchase. Post pics when you've got the stickers on - it'll turn some heads!

Nice one mate - I'd be interested to hear what you think of it.

I almost convinced my missus to buy one when she upgraded from her old 306, almost managed but she ended up with the 207 Hdi which is an awesome little car too. We do a lot of country driving in it and the little diesel has plenty of pull and the handling is great on bumpy country roads. Did I mention an average of 5.3Lt/100kms!?

I do often wonder how much more fun a bit more grunt and some stiffer suspension would be though.

Gezza, why did you sell your red 205 when you now want another for $10k?

It looks pretty good in white - though it appears a phantom badge installer has been at work.

When I test drove the 207 GTi I was surprised it sounded better than a 206 GTi 180 with $1000 Remus rear muffler. Didn't feel as fast to drive, but sounded heaps tougher!

These have moved on leaps and bounds since the 206 gti 180, yeah that has a nice power curve after 4500 upwards (thats why it would of felt faster)

But I think on paper these are quicker only by half a second or somat mind you!! But still quicker lol
