Default 206 Gti 180 Gearshift link installation

The gear lever in my 180 is a bit loose in 5th , and not selecting smoothly in other gears.

Been told that the nylon bushes Gearshift link are worn and needs replacement, Item 7 in the picture below.

Does anyone know the procedure for aligning the gear lever to the gearbox anfter the link is replaced?

Your picture link didn't come through...

Item 7 is a fixed link, so probably not much drama. I fitted quite a few quickshift links on the regular 138 and I didn't need to align anything.

The cables on the 180 (item 2 & 3), however are adjustable.

I have no idea how they are adjusted on a 180 so I won't offer anything, other than if you don't adjust the cables it should be ok.

There are other things that could cause the issue, though. Is the hydraulic clutch ok? Is there plenty of brake fluid? How sure are you that it's a gearbox link that's the problem?
    Regards,

Thanks for fixing the picture, the clutch was only replaced 6 months ago and it was the mechanic that suggested the gear link was on its way out. He suggested to do it myself.

Just looking for a bit of advice before taking the plunge
