Haaa there it is!!! Yea looks like it needs alot of work! Doesnt have elec windows either, must be series 1 1.6L.

My T16 would go well in there, but the asking price is a bit high for the work the car requires! My 205 has had most of its components replaced due to age catching up, i would hate to make a list of what this car needs!! Big bucks!!

And the paint doesnt look very good judging by the photos!

Haha how did it become a double post?

Also it seems to have an S1 dashboard which seems to be missing the glovebox! Those dashboards are parishing these days, no point trying to fix it, it should be replaced with an S2 or S3 complete dashboard.

    Needs windscreen which is suppplied
    Cracks in bodywork.
No rego been out for 4 years (off the top of my head maybe 3)
the 1.6 lump needs work and the mi16 needs work too
    Deffo needs a full respray
    Interior is shot

Yea all that stuff needs doing plus a fair bit more! I reken it would be a good project but to be honest its cheaper and better to get a good condition S2-S3 gti and put a kit on it!

This dimma has a 1.6L engine which is not worthy of a dimma so calls for a fresh engine or a conversion, has hail damage that needs repairing, cracked windscreen, to get her right its gonna cost.

The S2,gti would cost you couple grand, The rims are like $5K (the originals on this particular car) or you can get aftermarket rims with suitable offset and dish for cheper than 5K, the body kit another $4K, bout $1K to fit it and then paint the whole car. This car needs a paintjob and hailmdamage repairs anyways.

I think that would be money better spent.

and if the seams have cracks you can bet to find a lot of rust under it. Certainly look underneat the rear enlargers. If you see rust, walk away from it. If possible pull the rear side interior away since that will tell you a lot about the condition of the bodywork.
Enough dimmas, but not many are build correctly. If you want to be certain, it needs to have all the papers from dimma. And if possible also build by them.

Looking through some old photos of WA drive days over the years, I spotted this pic http://206gti.net/wa/drive040503/200...003_scaled.jpg

Probably the same one for sale. Shame that it seems to have deteriorated so much over time.

    Has a bad sunroof too.....

That white one was a bit of a weapon at some stage. Think it was running the 16v on carbs too? Or ITbs.. I think a young ad owns it now. Or did it come across east?

I will say this. If the Dimma were cheaper Im sure most of us would have it even in the condition its in. The interior is easy to fix as is any of the mechanical stuff. Most of us ( including me ) are afraid of the body work. Get it done right and it would be spot on. Especially considering it has the wheels with it. I would love to have a Dimma as I think they are so Filthy 80s and just so different to anything else around.

    Me too!!

Nothink to hard about body work. A good respray would cost over 5K IMO and Im not into spending that on 205 body work yet. I prefer them to go a little faster first...
