    Default 306 S16 knock sensor

Whilst having a poke around looking at what I need to clean yesterday (while it's still in pieces), I discovered that the knock sensor on my S16 has basically disintegrated!

I'm guessing at best it just isn't working, at worst it would be detecting pings that weren't there and retarding the ignition, or perhaps even putting the ECU in limp mode (doubt it as the car was running ok).

Does anyone know the cost of one of these from Peugeot? I've found a few on Ebay for around 50 uk pounds with shipping, but I'm not sure if they are the correct one for the S16. If anyone has the actual peugeot part number for one of these that would be great! I'll see if I can see the part number on the sensor but it is in really bad shape!

    Tony.

That looks more like it thanks Jeff. Do you need an account to access that site? Looks very handy!!

The engine in that picture looks quite a bit different to mine as far as other paraphanalia connected to it. I've jot an XU10j4.

    Tony.

edit: see that you have to register. Just wondering if they require a business name to do so. I'm thinking of putting in "other professional" as I it's the most correct I guess no harm in trying...

You can register as a 'professional repairer' which gives you free access to the replacement parts section.

Default and why I need a new one!!

I Thought I'd show a picture of why I need a new one of these.

The connector is rotten as well. I pulled it off to get better access for replacing some of the rotten loom tube and when I went to put it back on (not that it was really necessary since I will be replacing it) the connector just fell to pieces!

The oil pressure sensor is also looking like it has seen better days
