Default why does my 405 feel less torquey?

For some reason after washing the engine bay of my series 2 mi16, it feels like it has less torque. It still idles smooth and revs fine. But feels like my series 1 (nothing below 4 grand) I've changed the spark plugs and coils, thinking that would be the only thing water could annoy on it.
The intake pods still work, when at idle and revving from under the bonnet. So I assume they work under load to. But it honestly feels like they don't!
    Where should I look?

    Cheers Chris.

You have already covered the thing I was going to suggest (ie the vacuum pods) it certainly sounds like that, but if they are working then apparently not. You could try disconnecting the connector to the electro valve (I'm assuming it is the same setup as the S16) and making sure it is dry. It may be only intermittently making contact.

If you had water in the wells for the spark plugs I'd expect it to be missing (happened to me once). I can't think of anything else.

Yeah I thought the same things. The pod setup is a little different on the mi16, but I'll still have a look at the electro valve.

    Thanks Chris

    Just had a thought!

It has a pod filter, if that got any water on it, could it have "swelled up" and now won't let enough air through?
