    Default 205 dip stick guide

    hi guys ive had some troublewith oil leaks on my new 205 and ive fixed most of them but there was one comeing from the dipstick guide where it connects to the block. so i disconnected it. ( bad idea ) now i cant get it back in or out?

    any advice? im desprate need.

    Generally the cause of the oil leak is that the bracket that is bolted at the top of the tube breaks and the tube is able to rattle around so check this as a cause.

    I think the dipstick is a friction fit and for it to be removed or refitted properly you have to remove the exhaust manifold. Probably worthwhile putting some sealant around tube before fitting.However I have never done it personally so hopefully someone who has can advise. Good luck.

    cheers for the advice. i found out it just needed a little persuation. ( rubber mallet and long flat screw driver )

    all is well for now.
