    Default 406 cabin fan

The fan in my '96 has stopped after being intermittent for some time. The ignition key now is quite hot after only a few minutes of driving. This has been covered before but I can't find an older post that gave the 'how to' wire up a relay/s; that's what I think is needed. Thanks in advance!

    Default 406 cabin fan

    HI
My cabin fan was behaving like you say. Fixed it by replacing the heavy duty wiring connection in the passengers foot well. The old one had got hot at some stage ( Maybe this happened when the fan was on high but the vents were closed ). Check the white plastic connections on the large black and red wiring to the fan. Look for any blackening or distortion.
    regards
