Have you bought one? Any good?

I got a manual on disc - Peugeot Doc Backup and SEDRE - and it's hopeless, really hard to find stuff, things missing... I don't have a lot of faith in the Haynes manuals but may have to resort to one.

    Default Peugeot Manuals

    Hi Ginch

No, I haven't purchased one from the above crowd, I already have a Haynes Manual for my 307 HDi. It does leave a lot to be desired but for the things I have wanted it has steered me in the right direction plus reading all the forum letters.

Incidentally, how do I remove the "edit" button from my posts. I did ask the Forum some time ago but never got a reply.
Could someone more expert in these matters please advise me?

Thought I'd give it a try. I don't think it says before you pay, but it's 8 1/2 gig! The download speed maxes at 80k, so it'll be a long wait.

Hi NRK, I'm no expert in these matters but as far as I know the edit button is only visible to you and not others. You will notice also it is only on your posts. If you read the thread whilst logged out it won't be there either.
    Hope this helps,

    K

PS Thanks for sharing the link for the manuals.

Well, got the manual up and running after downloading for around 24 hours - slow connection at their end - and it turns out to be the same thing I already have, the DocBackup thing.

Half the categories seem to be empty, and where there are instructions they're very scant. No photos, just drawings... the electrical diagrams, well here's one below. The tacho wiring. Note the lack of any key or colours or anything really.

Thanks for reporting back Ginch, I was tempted to try as well, but it looks like I should give it a miss!

Are you pulling out your gearbox without a manual? That's pretty brave Tony! Hope it goes well next weekend.

Yep Well I do have the Haynes 306 manual, but it doesn't cover either the S16 or the GTI 6 so it has a few gaps... That is part of the reason for the slow progress! I've been taking lots of photos and making notes

Hopefully enough to be able to put it back in again once I get to that point
