    Default oil pump chain sump

Hi -I am trying to recall if either or both the S11 MI & the 1.8 306 have a plastic sump or bath for the oil pump chain.
    Thanks,
    Peter.

Thanks Jeff-Thanks-I am presuming this includes the 306 1.8 valve.
Seems like you are a 'spare parts man to be able to rattle that off.
I remember many moons ago when I used to do all of the Warranty Claims for Lynford & Lynas Ford in W.A..For many tears I could remember heaps of Ford parts.
Now those were the days of MANY CLAIMS.Interestingly the Renault built Cortina wagons had 1/3rd the claims of the Ford built sedans.
Many an argument was had between myself & the Ford[we used spell it differently to that]Warranty Officer as to why Ford were charging the owner for a front-end alignment on their car they had just re-built the f/end on.Usually around 10,000 miles.

Ha, thanks mate. My Dad worked in the trade all his life as an Auto Elec & Mechanical repairs & I would spend all my time from school (correction days & weekends) over at the workshop. It was amazing to hear phone calls to supply companies all expressed in part numbers!

However, in this instance, I cheated and used http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com...in_hors_eu.jsp

A great resource to check for parts interchangeability. Worth registering as a repairer (the bit that's free).

According to ServiceBox the 8v also has the sprocket cover. If you have an earlier oil pump from say, an XU9, the sprocket cover can't be fitted as there are no cast & tapped mounting lugs for it to bolt to.
