Default 306 rear swing arm bearings

I have to replace the front shock absorbers (struts) in my 1996 306 XTdt, and am thinking of also replacing the rears.
Lewin from Peugeotspares in Brisbane suggested also replacing the rear swing arm bearings. He said that if the rear wheels are leaning in at the top it indicates that the bearings need replacement. My rear wheels do lean in a little at the top.
Has anyone had any experience with this job? How hard is it, and are there any how-to's available anywhere? The Haynes manual is completely silent on the subject.
    Thanks.

Pulling out the rear arms is one of those easy but hard to do jobs !

A few how to's around the net if you search...

    Goodluck with it

Here is a guide from GTi Drivers Forum

Was some discussion on Aussie Frogs too a while back but that might have been lost.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. It looks like more of a job than I would care to take on unless I really, really, had to. I'll just try changing the shockies first and see where we go after that!
