Default headlights on again - off again

    Hi all
Have just become the lucky owner of a 504 Wagon, and first question as a new owner is concerning the headlights which seem to turn on sometimes and not others.
Is there a secondary switch somewhere or should I be looking for loose connection in the wiring or relays?
    Thanks

    Hi
It's best to check all connections from headlight switch and then follow through to the relays of which there may be two one under the instrument panel and a second on the inner guard. I would also be checking that the earth's are clean and tight

You will be looking for a bad or dirty earth at the light fitting as well.
