Default Peugeot 405 High Pressure fuel pump

Has anyone done this themselves. My poor baby is sitting out side and this part is loosing fuel at a great rate of nots. Have been quoted $5000 plus to fix it... So if someone has a good web site or lives in Sydney.

    Cheers

    John

$5000?? I'm assuming it's a diesel?? Even then It's still expensive... If the part in question is the diesel pump I think there was somebody with a reconditioned bosch one for sale on the parts secion of aussiefrogs a few days ago for around $500. If that was the case you'd probably be looking at that price in labour again to fit it. Worth a look.

Don't know if it's diesel (I guess) or petrol...

Just had ny nephews car's injector pump overhauled.
    $600 + parts.
    Total was $975
(Plus my time to take it off and refit it = about 4 hours having never done one of these before!)

Suggest you get some more quotes.

I've been contemplating parting out another diesel 405. I've got a running car here and i know the injector pump is in perfect working order. If your interested in the injector pump, I'll sell it to you for $450.

    Sorry John, I'm in Perth.

A place called United Fuel Injection was recommended by Eurocare.

Excellent service and a good price I believe.

    Hi lamlam,

If you do part it out - I'll take the fuel filter housing please.

    Roland.
