Default 306 aircon center control unit?

What would be the value of one of these? I have a spare one that works and still has the diode, but the dial lights need replacing, other than that it works perfect

Carefully open it up and replace the lights yourself. Using the lights from your old unit would suffice

My other unit is in my car at the moment, but has the diode removed. Was wondering if I should seel this one, as I need money, or would it be worth keeping?

personally I would keep it as a spare, and maybe look in to sourcing and replacing the missing/faulty diode. You should be able to source one from an electrical store (Jaycar maybe?)

I have cut it close to the circuit board, the one in my car... Would I sill be able to solder a new diode onto it? Or don't bother because I have a spare with a working diode?

I think you should be able to get the old prongs out of the pcb, but if you're happy to run it without the diode then go ahead

Either way, worth having a working control unit there to swap out

Yeah I am happy to run without a diode, a lot of people are apparently. (:
So yeah, I suppose i'll just keep it for a spare (:
+ out of curiosity, what would be the value on a working central control unit? o:
