    Default 1999 306 Gti6 stereo wiring.

Have tried to hook up a new stereo and looked high and low for the color wiring diagram for my car, all the uk based ones have different color codes mentioned. Does anyone know off the top of there heads the power- speaker- etc color codes for a 306. Thanks for any help you can offer

    Pioneer > 306 wiring harness
2011 Renault Koleos manual petrol, yes it's boring, but not as boring as:

Did you look in the Owners Manual? There should be a page in there (called "Fitting Stereo Equipment) that tells you which wires you need to look at.

Looked through the manual. It only explains fuses and entering security code in the factory stereo. Going to try and download the Haynes page now.

If anyone here has a 306 with an Owners Manual, look up the colour coding. Its in there.

Sorry - I though they all had them.

One thing on colour coding - it's not Peugeot's way. They are mainly interested in wire numbers or positions.

As per the other thread that's remarkably similar to this one: Pioneer > 306 wiring harness if you pull enough wiring out, you'll find the "proper" ISO plugs for the stereo and with this page from an Owners Manual, it should be simple enough to work out.

One 8 pin plug for all the speakers, and another 8 pin plug for the essential power bits.

This is assuming someone else hasn't already put in an aftermarket stereo and buggered it up for you.

Yeah unfortunately that is the dilemma. Previous owner has done a number in the last stereo and cut all the wires to short and left it a right mess. Will probably have a professional install it. Thanks for all the advice though. Has saved me more of a head ache
