Default The Silence of the Blower Motor.

The wife's N5 306 has a bugger of a problem. The air con fan isn't working.

There appears to be nothing wrong, but the fan just wont go. The fuse is OK.

Anyone know where I should look first to check for faults.

I would stick my head in the passenger side foot well, remove the fan and test for voltage at the plug, then go from there. If there is voltage, then the fan will need replacing or maybe fixing if possible.

Remove it, give the bearing a bit of a soak in something (WD40 if you must) and reinstall.

Just a thought - If it were mine I'd be testing it with a known good 12v supply before spending the time re-installing one that might not be right electrically. If it's like the 405 blower, there might be a blown transistor or two, darlington power transistors in a TO-3 case if I recall correctly....I got the details somewhere.
