    Default 206cc Faulty Roof

Hi Guys, So the roof went up in the 206, and it won't go down again.
It has been checked on the computers, and no fault is found.
    The mechanics suggestion is a complete manual dismantle to figure out what might be wrong;
At a particularly expensive question mark!!!
Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be?
There is no whirring, buzzing or any form of engagement, switches have been checked, motor electronically is running fine, It is a question merk.
    Thanks in advance
    Gregg

Sounds like the pull out screen in the boot has not been clipped into place properly. There are sensors where the boot screen clips in and you must hear a click if they are in place correctly otherwise it does not allow the roof to open....

    I hope its that simple.

The sensors in the boot are not the problem, as checked by mechanic for two days to try to find problem.
Normally if you try and engage the switch in the car for roof operation and something is not correct it will give you warning sounds ....
With everything right the first sequence to happen, is the reverse lifting of the boot lid, this is not happening.
The current mechanics suggestion is to dismantle the boot lid to try to find out why.
    No quotes can be given.
As previously stated, when hooked up to diagnostic equipment, it shows no faults with the roof electronics.
    Thanks again in advance

Do you get the usual warning chime when engaging the roof switch ?

Try doing a manual roof retraction.

You can do this by doing the reverse of this video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbMLjCjD-H8

This sometimes releases any hydraulic jams.....

The only other thing is the battery needs to have a minimum output for the roof circuit to activate. So make sure the battery is not low.....

    Good luck..

There are no warning sounds or chimes as one would expect to hear if something was out of place.
Roof has been manually retracted and put up again by mechanic ans still no joy.
Computer says everything is normal and shows no faults.........
I'll just tear my hair out.... It seems there are a lot of roof dramas on the 206cc club in UK.. No real solutions there either..
    Thanks & Ciao
