    Default 205 clutch..

Have read here? of a modification carried out on a 205 clutch lever to ease the effort required.
Any other reasons for this apart from sticky cable or lubrication?

Pressure plate age. I have had a few cars now that when the pressure plate is old, It's really hard to use. New clutch, pressure plate and thrust bearing brings it back to normality.

    .....unfortunately

Pressure plate for sure, a new one will give you a super light clutch.
Cables have never given trouble in my experience. Different for 306s though!
