    Default Tyres from USA

Think it was just before the crash that a guy was importing a set or 2 of tyres.

Anyone remember the contact? I am going to need a few sets before too long and thought it might be worth looking into.

yeah tirerack have some great prices. You need to add shipping and make sure it come under $1000 as otherwise you have to pay import duty
Lets just say we have a few pugs about!

    Thanks guys,
I dont seem to be finding the time for the car at the moment but i still have many plans...

I see now why PeterT has ( i think) had wider rims made. 205/50R15 is a comon size where as the 195/50R15 is not. some 195/55R15 but not in performance.

I have Advan A048 tires on at the moment that cost me way too much. in 205/50R15 here they are for $222 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....del=ADVAN+A048

    or slicks for $147! http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....el=Ventus+Z214

PeterT or Al if you still frequent this place ( i have been absent for some time...) there was a mob in Melbourne taking the inner half of a steel wheel and widening it with a new spun outer rim. what was this place?

this seems like a good way to get a little more rubber on the road and save some $$$ on tires at the same time...

Has anyone ever had trouble with scrutineering and steel wheels? mine were fine at the island last time out but i was warned by a fellow frogger in the car park at EAI about a year back that 'steelies' didn't meet the grade???

    Thanks

    Andrew

It might have been Neway Wheel Works in West Heidelberg. They do wheel alterations/widening/etc.
