    Default Which wheels will fit??

Evening all, I have a S1 205 GTI which is currently wearing a set of steel rims and I think Mitsubishi Sigma hubcaps. Before you tell me how obscene and wrong that is I must confess that I have just bought it and it was already like that!
My question to you all is other than the 14 and 15 inch Speedline wheels, and the Mi16 what other cars share the same stud pattern and ideally offset?
My preference would be to fit S3 GTI rims or Mi16 rims but am considering my options.
Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks

Mi16 wheels are set too far in and will touch the inner wheel arch at the rear. 306 wheels have the same problem.
405 8 valve wheels are OK.

15" 306 xsi/s16 wheels fit fine on my gti with drums brakes at the back

Also another set of 306 rims fit fine, unsure what model the are off but the are 14".

I think the stud pattern is the same as some of the fords, includimg cortina. Maybe the older fiesta?

I had a mate with pug 15" speedlines on his ford cortina,,, looked preety good althou i wasnt too happy lol

Maybe different to the 306 14 inch steel wheels which are what I had tried? Also, maybe you had fitted them to a series 3?

I tried my Si with 306 steels and didn't have any luck, I guess you need to just give it a try and see whether they fit.

dont most european cars from the mid-70s- late 90s with 4 stud wheels share a special ' euro ' pattern. not sure if its true, read it in a magazine once. hope this helps

+1 on the back for s16 on a drum rear 205.

on the front i had to roll the arches, mostly because it is very low, if you have a closer to normal ride height and stiffish springs and dampening you will probably be ok.

195/55's will touch the inner chassis on full lock with a 6" correct offset for a 205 wheel, 195/50's i am hoping will clear ...

Yea they are gti6 wheels, the s16 are different, not sure if there is a difference with offset thou

These are s16 rims, this was the quickest easiest pic to find lol
These rims fit on my S2 with no modifications required.

If i was on my computer id post you a pic of what they look like on the gti itself, i will upload a pic later on.

cheers, yeah i thought they looked good, especially as the 5 of em only cost me $270- including near new potenzas

i had to roll the front arches to get them to line up (and clear), about 15mm, so as standard the wheels would poke out a little past the arches.

re: gti-6 vs s16 - i saw some on a 306 cab so assumed they were s16 fitment, now not so sure
