    Default 307 ABS fault.

Well the little 307 had a bit of a hissy fit Monday.
Started out from home and there was thumping and oddness in the suspension when braking???(this is the ABS system cutting in during normal braking).
This was followed shortly after by surging while on cruzzzze control???

Then bells and alarms, flashing lights....ABS FAIL.......

Guess what I was doing Monday night on a stone cold concrete floor.

All wheels off on blocks cleaning all ABS sensors and the backs of the wheel bearings of all the built up road [email protected] and grime...(WURTH power cleaner X4 tins)..

Ingesting a cans worth of Wurth cleaner is just like drinking a 1/2 bottle of Whisky and then i go off working on the safety critical components....

Well I think the problem has been solved as all now seems well.
I was wondering how often workshops change out "sensors" that have failed when all that is really needed is a good clean.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

    Note...

Fuel economy has improved by 4%.

It has come down from 5.7lt/100km to 5.4lt/100km, (better calculation from exact figures and not the trip).

I've had the warning come up in our 307. No other symptoms though. Turns out, the brake switch was faulty. Might want to replace that first if it occurs again as there has been a few instances of that fault here on Aussie Frogs and they have all been the brake switch from memory.
