Default So, the girl next door bought this....

I had it for the day today so took it for a bit of a spin - good fun, I was grinning most of the time. Shame the roof doesn't work...And the 4 spd auto is not ideal either - such a girl's car! But if you put you foot down she goes OK, and the handling is great, with easily controlled understeer.
What motor would it have, anyone?

It's just another attraction when popping in to visit the neighbours...the trouble is I can't see her begging for the SRDT for the day and offering the 306 in exchange too often

Thanks - about the same power as the 505GTI in a much lighter car....

What year ? It could be a 77kw 1.8ltr. Fog lights would most likely be square then. So probably not.

At least she has taste, the lady next door drives an Aurion/Camry/CBF Toyota and the other cat lady drives a Kia 4wd that "Has a better resale value than a Nissan Pathfinder" according to the salesman doing the Novated lease!
Getting back on track the PinnaFarina CC's do have that something that the others just miss.
The 206 and 306 are just so 'right' for the young butterfly, but just as a butterfly it has it's time. Pity that model cycles are now so compressed that a simply stated cabrio with style goes into the ether.....SWMBO want's a metal CC but the 308 is too wide across the rocker panel and most of the 307's for sale are just soooo lame that SWMBO scoff's at them! Wrong colour/not enough grunt/ too girlie for even me to drive.

Errm, dunno about that, I think there's only about 10 kilos difference. (505 heavier)

Haha, that f*%$ing logo on the back... my 306 and almost every single other one I've seen has the same issue. That and the plastic strip under the headlights popping out. Otherwise, great car

    G'day,
probably not a good idea telling her she is 10 kgs overweight. Ah, hang on, I got that the wrong way around.

Best looking 306. IMNSHO. Would love to mate the looks of the convertible with the mechanicals of the 6. I suppose someone's done, somewhere.

    GTi6 and 207GTi, or is it 207GTi and GTi6?

yeah I think yellow is the best colour for them!
The 306 cab really was the last of the good looking Peugeot cabs, all the newer ones really are hideous! Still not as nice as a 504 cab though, but nothing will ever be!

It probably just feels like it goes harder because it's twin cam so the power comes higher up in the rev range.

    Cheers Chris

    2.0 16V XU10 - mated to a splendid AL4...

As for the roof - it can be manually overrided - look at the service manual

Much the same as the XSi hatch ... only a couple of hundred kg's heavier. And a bit more bendy.
