yesterday i only had time to pull the rear door trims off and get the doors operating again then cleaned around the door jams while the missus vacuumed every part of the car

i then got in and covered every piece of leather with Ge-Wy then washed the outside of the car and cleaned the glass

tyre black and polish may happen today given enough time

See what she thinks in a few weeks time Modern cars are a lot quieter than the old stuff, the suspension action in old cars can be quite noisy. You "hear" the bumps more than feel them. For example even the DS thumps and crashes along noisily, you just don't actually feel most of it(no rubber at all in there suspension).

The XM has huge amounts of rubber in it's front end, those big strut mounts for example (yeah the ones that put a strut through the bonnet when the rubber deteriates ).

Best make sure the windows all work too. Don't worry there only about $800 bucks a pop for the shitty winder mechanisms. There is repair kits on ebay uk that *may* allow you to fix them. (the XM here has had 3 die in the last 12months.... the two back windows I refuse to repair... the cost is outrageous)

"the suspension action in old cars can be quite noisy" The windows all work, and the suspension is quiet: I think you might be surprised.

Looks like Pugrambo will care for it like a new baby
