    Default 205 Engine mount - Mi16

I bought a new 205 engine mount when I built the 8v only two years ago. I have had the Mi16 in for about a 8 months now and the new engine mount is completey SQUASHED to the point of during a left hand turn, the aluminium mount is hitting the chassis.

Is there a difference between the 405 MI16 mount and the 8v being the 16v is heavier? They all seem to be the same when purchasing.

Same part. You must have had a dud. Suggest Spoox as a better alternative. Although expensive, it's adjustable in height.

Spook use the vibra-techinic engine mount just rebranded and more expensive - http://www.vibra-technics.co.uk/

A few other places also sell them.

Have you tried the BakerBM ones?

Peter have you tried the BakerBM ones? If so, how did you rate them?

I stopped my mount breaking with a simply made bracket and a shackle rubber, been in 3 years probably 45 bitumen motorkhanas. Works for me .

Thought I'd try my luck with this one. It's from a 2.0 turbo diesel something.

......but its too big. It's too big around the belly and ends up being off set to the point of being on an angle.

    My bad.
