    Default Peugeot Expert Review

I am interested in purchasing a second hand peugeot expert with between 25 and 50K.
The professional reviews I have read say they are good but the user reviews I have read from the UK say they are a piece of rubbish.
Can anyone please give me some feed back on these vehicles.
Do they use a peugoet engine or ar Fiat engine.

    Regards

    Hi Marcus,

    Welcome to

The Experts sold in Australia use the 2.0 HDi engine, which is a PSA/Ford engine, made by Peugeot in France. They used to sell a "Professional" LWB version with a 100kW engine, but now only sell the 88kW version, in both SWB and LWB.

The cars (Expert, CitroŽn Jumpy/Dispatch and Fiat Ducato) are assembled at a joint PSA/Fiat plant called Sevel Nord in Northern France.

They haven't really sold that well in Australia (on sale since '08) as they are relatively unknown, whereas the Fiat has been selling for a lot longer and has a fair bit of sales "traction".
    Regards,

    Simon

I trade in an XR6 ford ute on an Expert professional two years ago and haven 't looked back.
Have had a couple of minor recalls, but can't fault it otherwise.
Love the engine, the handling is great for a van.
My father in law is lining up to buy it when I upgrade.
He drove it from Adelaide to Noosa for me loaded up for a project and said it was the most relaxing drive he had.
the lower spec engines were uninspiring when I test drove them.

I have a year 2000 806 HDI which is basically the same.
    It has done 208,000 miles.
It's had two dual mass flywheels.
    A set of injectors.
    A split intercooler.
    A couple of intercooler pipes.
    A power steering pump.
A new steering rack (though I think it only really needed a track rod)
    An indicator stalk

The thing actually drives really well, hardly uses any oil, has a good gearchange etc.

I think they are tough things.
