    Default 405 Sunroof drain holes???

    Hi All,

After the big downpour in Melb overnight my 405 was making a fine substitute for a bath tub. It looks like the drip tray at the front of the sunroof has overflowed on the drivers side dumping water into the headlining, carpet and drivers seat. I suspect the drains (if such a thing exists) are blocked and need cleaned out.

Any pointers on how to locate the drain points and the best method to unblock?

    cheers
    Paul

    Hi Paul,

You'll need to just undo a few retaining screws on the plastic fascia panels that hold the board & material headliner in place. Then you'll need to pull the board headliner out.

Now you can access the 4 hoses at each corner of the plastic water drip tray.

I used an air compessor to clean the pipes, but you could probably stick a hose in them and wash them out, or if you've got a long pipe cleaner.

It'd take about an hour to do.

I had this in my 405!! I opened the sunroof and got a bit of hose on the end of an air compressor and blew down from the top in all four corners from the top! Dunno how effective it was like that but never did it again!

Thanks. I'll give the compressed air a go.
