    Default Buying a 505 SRDT

Mum is looking at getting a 505 SRDT to replace her dead VT commy.

The one shes looking at has 230'000kms and is probably the best condition 505 I have ever seen, purely grandpa spec.

Now, she does at least 700kms a week and it must be supremely reliable, my main concern is the auto gearbox. Are they reliable?

Is there anything special to look out for in it?

Going from a 2000 Commodore to a 1984 Peugeot is a bit of a step up isn't it? The 505 is actually way more kitted out than the commy too!

    Thanks

    Hayden

Would be a great car for her for sure - if the injector pump has already had the seals done even better.

Might have done, it's a pristine car that's been well looked after. The whole interior has just reupholstered, to the original tweed.

Infact, I have a picture of it. It's the white one, the blue one is mine.

    Great!

It looks exactly the same as mine, although mine's done 406,000 and has tatty paintwork in places. The driver's seat is pretty worn too. LOVE THE TWEED! Old man chic....
