I have seen a red 307 with water up to the middle of the drivers window, with the owner trying to drive it out in QLD.

It probably sucked up water and lunched the engine. It's stupidly easy to do in a 307, and stupidly expensive.

I think it would have been less expensive to repair if he had left it

hahahhah yes i was watching this. id just recently driven through flood water cracked my exhaust collapsed my catalytic converter, flooded my transmission and subsequently destroyed my flange gasket which proceeded to leak and burn out my transmission harness coming to a total of $3500 and priceless weeks of frustration so when i saw this pug almost completely consumed by water i just thought wow no chance in hell that cars ever going to drive anywhere again.
