Pity they couldn't get the headlights to fit properly!
How hard do you reckon those XAs tyres are?
    Note the oil bath aircleaner.
Unfortunately the auto trans reduces the appeal a fair bit.

That is one hell of a good looker, I am not a huge fan of the color but the interior is spectacular.
Any idea about its nationality ??

    Have to agree.

Just needs a set of GTi alloys to compliment the rest of the car & it would look even more spectacular.

    Not to mention left-hand drive.

And it's only a 2 litre STI. A very early one. I wouldn't mind the fuel tank out of it for my 504 GTI conversion!!

It would go better than the ones we got here, full leaded engine with no pollution equipment don't forget.
I think these cars in manual form snuck into the very low 17s for the 0-400m.
I remember an RACV road test coming up with 21 seconds for that time in an auto GTi.
They recommended not to buy the car as it was so slow.

Take away the original Michelin XAs tyres and rims and you would knock $10000 off the value which is in the originality not the specification or the actual condition, which may not be perfect looking at the way that headlight is sitting.

No, the US cars looked hideous with their twin sealed beam headlights and crash protection bumpers.

Oh of course - the proper lights and bumper (and kms speedo) are of course french.

Wonder why they took it to america and never used it? Early show car for american motor shows perhaps?

Question is, who are they ?

    Yes indeed.

The color of the interior is a bit unfamiliar, absolutely stunning but unfamiliar, I'm more used to the blue interior, like the one in the picture.
PS: the 505 in the second picture is the 1983 turbo injection at the Peugeot museum

It would be great if they did but IMHO they would not be interested because they already have a large fleet of 505s.
