Icon14 New GTi6 top engine mount - Wow what a differnce!

Just replace top engine mount in the puglet,
Wow amazing improvement in handling! and gear changes!

Old one came out in two pieces

Still staggered at how much difference one piece of rubber can make to performance/handling/gear changes

and only took about 15mins to do the job...

    New tires next..Anyone had experience with Michelin PS3's 195/55/15 on a GTi6?

Ah good old engine mounts. I recently replaced all 3 on my S16. My lower engine mount was stuffed, bush was torn to the shithouse. I have had experience with Michelin Pilot Preceda, what a great piece of rubber. Although 300 a corner!

    Hey Neil,

I need to replace mine as well.

Did you did you get an NA Peugeot part or did you find some sort of fandangle space plastic mount that is better?

Just a standard one from EAI, have a bottom one to put in too, but that will require a mechanic.

I have been warned to steer away from "racing"/harder engine mounts. My Mechanic say he has put afew in for people and they have all come back asking for standard mounts - too much noise/vibration apparently
