    Would the 1.8 8v have had rear drums? Cause if so then according to an eBay listing from EAI those are the same discs as a 1.9 GTi post 1991.

    Assume the front calipers are different between 1.8 8 valve 306 and 205 GTi?

    That would be right, a hell of a lot easier to find a 1.8 306 though.
    Calipers would the same or similar.

    OK I'm putting in an order with David Cavanagh for discs, pads and calipers from a 306 XT. Hopefully this is the end of the story!

    Langers, it is absolutely cool that you can build your car up using bolt on parts from other models. I am sure you will find them effective and feel great. You should not get contant squeak like I do either.
