Default Question on 205 GTI seats

    Hi All

Can anyone tell me what the different variations on 205 GTI seats were standard fitment in Australia?

I have located a parts car that iam told has original seats but unsure if they really are.

They are black with a red and blue pattern, the pattern is like dashes of the red and blue.

    cheers

Doesn't sound like 205 seats but some 306 seats have this pattern.

AFAIK, this link is an example of Series 1 seats: 205 link

Later models had leather sides with a similar centre section.

I have a 1987 build car with a 1988 compliance plate. It was assembled by JRA here in AUS before the 205 went fully imported.

The seats on mine are all black with red thread. Different to the Series 1 in the link. I'll put a pic up when I connect the camera. The pre-1988 build Series 1 cars seem to have a few different things on them. I guess there were 500,000+ of these cars built (205, that is, not just GTi) so there'll be some local variations.

The pictured seats are s1, there is also a version the has a heavier pattern that are grey and red. I have some in the shed but thats at my Dads place.

There were more like 5.4 million 205s produced.

They were all imported, JRA stopped building Peugeots in around 1983.
Yes, the alloy badge may say that JRA built it but trust me, they didn't.
