    Default 406 cabin temp guage

I'm getting all the good bits out of the one with the blown engine and bunging 'em in the one that goes.
I wanted the cabin temp. guage but when I plugged in the unit it doesn't work. Obviously there's no sensor on the car that wasn't fitted with it.
Does anyone know where the sensor is located?
The manual doesn't even mention this guage. It's only talking about a multi function thing that goes in the same hole on luxury models.

It is usually located behind a small grill and is a very small electric fan to sample air. On the 406 I believe it's in the roof console.

    Nein!

The thermistor is located in the passenger wing mirror - Thing is, the loom may be different, therefore making it easier to swap the actual wing mirror as one unit!

Well, if he's going to ask for cabin temp, that's what he gets.

If he wants outside air temp, then yes, it's in the mirror

    Sorry for any confusion, luthier.

I had a look in the console above the mirror, but no dice.
Yes the temp thing has always been a mystery, as it changes once you get moving, but it gives an indication of the way things are.
I'll have a look in the passenger mirror.
    Thanks.

But it really is a game of hide and seek. How would I ever have guessed either of these places?

The passenger mirror has a very small nipple at the bottom, that's the sensor.
