Default 405 srdt dash warning light issue

    Hi,

I'm hoping someone might be able to remind me how to repair/clean the sensor that detects "water in the diesel". I'm sick of the false warnings that have been popping up over the last couple of years.

I'm sure it lives in with the fuel filter but won't tackle it until I'm pointed in the right direction.

There was a good post on this pre-crash days but I never saved it (bugger).

    Thanks.

You are right, the sensor is located on the fuel filter housing. Its black and screws in at the bottom in a bit of an awkward position on the side between the housing and the battery.

Might be a good idea to clean out the inside of the housing and chuck in a new filter at the same time.

I'll try get you a pic or two

    Thanks for the reply.

I assume theres no drama in taking the top off the filter housing and having a looksy is there?

Would I have to purge all the air from the system after doing this?

I'll await your pics I think.
