404 for auction

Anyway interested in a 404, see: http://www.tradera.com/Peugeot-404-1...0119_123028660 the bids are already up to 40,000 SEK roughly 7000 AUD.

The description says that it has covered only 36,000 kms, it was owned by two sisters from 1963 to 2009 and that was nearly never driven in the winter ( ie not on salted roads) and is in unrenovated condition with few marks.
The car has been owned by Klassikers, a type magazine or such, the car is roadworthied and ready to drive.

D'oh,
You bet your bottom dollar they do, mate!
We have a requirement also from Dec to April to have winter tyres, can be without studs these days though, actually the gumnuts are trying to ge people to use just 'Friction' tyres but when the ice is there, nothing beats good studded tyres.
In the north parts of Sweden where the temperatures are more constantly under zero C, then they do not need to salt as much if at all though.

That car is identical to my former Berline, although mine was a Super Luxe model with more brightwork and nicer wheel covers. Same colour, same interior, its serial number was 4326224 compared to thia car's 4380346. R.I.P. my old 404 SL (which I converted to KF2 Injection)

I have to say the mudflaps don't do this one any aesthetic favours though

Mudflaps make a big difference when you are roaring along a highway behind a car on a salty, slushy and ueven tarmac.
We would probably still have them were it not for the EU enforcing conformity for these things.
