    Default Conversion of Seem Units

How do I convert Seem Units to Metric, is this possible?
I am thinking about replacing my Pug 406 2lt Timing Belt and you have to apply 45 Seem Units to the pully (need special tool)
    Can anyone help?

    Hello Fred.
Thank you for edumicating me on new stuff today.
I'v never heard of seem units before now.

I did a google search and discovered why, its a pretty obscure measurement.

I found this which might me of mild interest to you.

Fred as most people don't have the factory tool, the accepted way of tensioning the belt 'seemlessly', is to have it adjusted so that you can twist the belt 45 degrees on the long (front) run.

    Hi Fred,

    It's not looking good:

I did a search on the web and haven't found anything to help.

    Sorry.

Default SEEMed like a good idea at the time 'spose

    G'day,

did you have a look around in that directory Jo ?

    http://www.albea.ru/214145/

a number of Reno TN's in there, in English even ! including the basic manual for these weirdo units

http://www.albea.ru/214145/3247A.pdf which I have put in here as a zip file. Looks like it affects the older models as well.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons belt life's have been extended over the years ?

    cheers,
    Bob
