    Default Peugeot 405 leaded?

I read just today in the manual...
It says something about All Peugeot 405 models can use Leaded 97 octane fuel?
Can my 1989 mi16 (series 1) take leaded fuel?
It would be great if it can cause that might solve the high running costs problem
    Thanks guys.

You cannot run leaded fuel in any Peugeot with an oxygen sensor. This includes the Australian delivered Mi16. If you have a UK import with the D6C engine, you may not have an oxygen sensor and could run leaded fuel. The lead in the fuel will poison the sensor in a very short time.

I'm guessing you have a supply of Avgas? It's about the only leaded fuel you'll find these days.
