    Default 405 headlight issues

I'm sure I'll be able to fix it but I'm hoping someone can cut my fault finding time down a bit.

Last night when I turned my headlights on, everything was fine until I put them on high beam where I noticed a slight glow in my left hand dashboard indicator arrow. The front and side indicators are also dimly glowing.

When I dip them back to low beam I think (not sure as it was raining) one of my right high beams may be staying on and the left headlight looks to be a bit dull. I need to turn them off and on very quickly to put things right. They always turn on, on low beam.

I'm assuming an earth problem with the left front headlight or possibly a high beam relay issue.

    Any help appreciated, thanks.

Sorry that this will sound silly, remove the back passenger tail light connection accessed via the boot and clean/check the connections.

    Good luck

Thanks, and its not as silly as it sounds as I've had water ingress through both tail lights in the past.

Will check it out sometime today hopefully.

    Cheers.

Problem solved. Thanks BIGRR. Correct diagnosis.

I've seen far far worse tail light contact tabs and bulb connections happily still working but a quick scratch up with a screw driver and wipe with a rag and we're all good again. Finnicky french electrics coming to the fore maybe.

    Thanks.
