    Default 307 HDi T5 performance

The original 307 HDi engine (the 2 litre 66kw motor) provides adequate power and good economy in standard tune, but can do better. My youngest son has one, and finds the slow acceleration from rest a problem in built-up areas.

Improving the performance of these motors has been discussed in the last 4 years, but somehow I just can't seem to find the old threads .

I do remember someone from Brisbane getting Magic to do a dyno-tune and re-map of the engine management, and being very pleased with the results.

    So:
Q1 Does Magic still do this sort of work?

Q2 As the son (& the 307) are in Canberra, can anyone recommend someone closer to Canberra that does the same sort of job?

Q3 We could fit a DPChip (DP31) from Berrima Diesel - any comments on these?

    Cheers

    Default St3

Just found something else - has anyone heard of the ST3 Self-tuning system?

    http://www.chippeduk.com/products/ST...ng_System.html

This link gives a little more info:

Apaprently this is useful for some petrol engines as well as diesels.

    Cheers

And to add my 2 cents worth, he remapped mine and its quite a bit better. Needs an intercooler too as any diesel turbo charged engine does. Improives economy too with better power but one offsets the other.

Magic/Armidillo: if there is any interest in doings remaps in/around Canberra (optimistic, I know) in a few months then you can probably count me and my 406HDi in.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's an EM?
