Default Post pictures of your Pug

I couldn't see an existing thread on this topic, pease feel free to close this thread if I've missed another along the same lines.

So post some pictures of your pride and joy! Poor old aussie frogs has taken a battering and lost a lot of content. This can be one way to help build the Peugeot section back up into a visual resource, as well as an opportunity to show off our Pugs!

I look through the 405 photo collection and note wryly, there are more pictures of broken bits than sparkling assemblages.

    Default Spoilered, lowered, chipped......

    Well here's mine.......

The first two are what it looked like when I bought it, from some young guy who was somewhat miffed when I told him the spoiler would be going in the skip as soon as I got it home. (Though it was useful for standing my mug on). He wanted me to send him photos of it minus spoiler, until I pointed out to him it would look like every other blue 406 .

So the spoiler, the big exhaust, and the tinted rear lights are no longer on it, much to the disappointment of the young lads who hang about outside the chip shop. No more big thumbs up from them when I collect my supper.

But it looked like I'd borrowed a car off some young boy racer, and did attract unwanted attention from the local constabulary once or twice. And the reversing lights are dim enough without tinting the bloody things.

But it's still lowered. So much so that the jack at the tyre place won't go under the damn thing.

And it's still chipped. And quick.

Anyway, I'm too old for driving about in a modified car and such silliness.

    Mike.

PS Anybody wanna buy a spoiler?

I assume you mean pic 2? Anyway the radio/cd player (as fitted by the young guy) is a constant source of amusement, or concern, depending on my mood.

Note to self. Buy a fire extinguisher.

Great pics guys, some beaut Pugs there. Ruby is a lovely old classic. Also that 505 GTi would make a great project car.

And the black GTi6 is sweet, almost makes me wish I got the black 206 GTi I was looking at before I got the red one above. But not quite. A black car in Australian summer sun for a daily driver wasn't appealing to me. Still, that's a very tidy example above. Nice wheels.

Another 504 being fitted with a ZDJL? Excellent. It seems that all of a sudden, there are a few 504 GTIs being built.

The wheels that Aquinian and his dad made, 390mm wheels with the centres machined out and Nissan (?) outers welded on. I know of 3 sets, you have one of them.

    Thanks

Are they the TRX to 16" conversion? The tire profile looks a bit low to be 15".

Here are some photos of my Peugeots: The blue 106 (my former daily driver) is now a hill climb car driven by my mechanic. The silver coupe with the French plates is a work-in-progress replica of the V6 works car which may end up with a 2-liter instead of a V6. The black 604 (pictured outside the breaker's) used to belong to Aphrodite's Child singer Demis Roussos but I bought it as a parts car for the V6 and front end. I was talked out of wrecking it (by the wrecker!) as it runs quite well, the body is in remarkably good condition, if a bit tired and the fame of the former owner makes it sort of collectible. It will be restored at some point before the end of the decade.

Exactly. I've had a set in my shed for a few months, I just put two on the RHS this evening to check for fit etc. They'll be coming off again, the tyres are bald. I'll post a bit more about them when the blog is up and running again.

Only 68,000 miles, I'd say it's been always garaged, and hasn't spent a lot of time in the weather.

Plus the steel on those old cars was much higher quality than today and A LOT thicker - rust basically doesn't happen unless they are weathered.
