    Another service question

has anyone used Collier's Automotive Services in Granville Sydney?

I drove past there before and saw some pugs in the garage. How does their prices and service compare to a dealer?

    Thanks

it doesn't matter now, i gave them a call and they can't do a systems check with the late 97+ 306 because they don't have the correct equipment. I guess i'm off the the dealer then

the asquith and johnstone one in parra, they charge $99 per hour for labor. he said just bring it in and they take it for a drive before deciding what to do. I think i might as well goto colliers first and see what they say

What about P504 at forestville?? they might not have the equip you need.

Or Northshore Rallysport/EAS motors at Artarmon they would probably be more likely to have it.

Nice people at P504. Did an urgent rebuild on a 505 XN6 motor for me when it died on a trip to Sydney to see my father a couple of years back. (for some reason retirement villages don't like the idea of you doing major auto reconstructions in their driveways!)

Remember when Ron (?) MacPhee used to run a Citroen / Peugeot repair shop at the same premises back in the late 60's. He used to do some work on a mates Citroen light 15 and Big 6 and cast an occasional eye over our 403 before I learnt how to do it myself (we used to live in French's Forest before I headed off to Alice Springs, and then Melbourne) .

Seymours of Roseville took over for a while at the same place before P504 moved in.

This place has a long history of Peugeot work and the job they did on my 505 was first rate and good value. Definitely get a tick from me, assuming they are still in the same hands.

    Cheers

That's him. Used to have a house in Belrose on Forest Way, a couple of kilometres up the road from our old place.

Glad to hear he is still going strong. He'd probably remember an uncle of mine, Don Brown, who finally parted with his 1971 Peugeot last year (purchased new). Don had a 403B before the 504 , in which a cousin of mine and I won a Sydney Uni car rally/fun run back in the very early 70's.

    Cheers
