    Default 406 Coupe Battery

The original has just died after 5yrs and 80ks Replacement cost me $150 from Marshall @ Greenslopes. The replacement (made by Exide in Asia) has the same dimensions as the OEM, a 2yr warranty and is rated at 600CCA. The OEM was 450CCA.

    thought so

marshall is exide as are many other brands

the 450CCA is what a DIN55 puts out and the DIN66 is the 600CCA and a bigger casing as well over the DIN55

most of the smaller pugs run the DIN55 while some little ones run the 37A

next one up is the DIN88 but it is a bigger casing again and most often used in forklifts would you believe

    I thought DIN66 was 550 CCA? I just put a Delphi DIN66 in my 405 yesterday and it's 550 CCA, as is the Lucas DIN66 in my uncle's 156.

I guess there's a little variation in the standard?

each manufacturer's specs are slighty different

i can only quote exide specs

exide includes marshall, masse, champion, john deer, new holland, volvo, mitsubishi, holden, case, power breed

so you can see they cover a fair wack of the market
