Hi guys. Now that my age old ignition coil has given up the fight I have decided to take the consequence of it and make a small leap foward. In the long term (when the current dizzy dies) I plan to fit electronic ignition but for now the first step will be a coil with resistor. Ive bought the coil and its resistor but Im not sure how it supposed to be wired up, since the wiring on the others cars with resistors is all taped up, so I wont be able to figure it out without untaping it all first and was hoping to avoid this. The previous system on the 404 was plain standard with a + from the switch to the coil and a wire on from the coil to the dizzy. Is there anyone who is in a position to give me a step by step insight on this, Im not very clever on electronics?
